Leading agency Charter House operates in the competitive world of corporate recruitment and requested a workplace that was both engaging for staff and professional for clients.
Charter House was in need of minor fit-out works and additional workstations to be able to support their new workforce as they continued along their growth path. Working in collaboration with Creo Design Group, inspired by the identity and culture of their business the idea was to inject a pop of the Charter House blue against a neutral palette backdrop for a comfortable space. The entire organisation revolves around the reception and welcome area, made unique by a privacy screen with a plant box. This area features comfortable furniture and styling creating a homely and welcoming feel.
Elegantly controlled with white walls, timber batten joinery, concrete flooring, and a tasteful blue fabric carpet insert used as a wayfinding feature. Of high importance was employee wellness which was achieved by acoustic panels, to absorb as much sound as possible. Plants were used to provide a sense of nature and privacy between the reception and work stations.
With their desire for a connection to tell their story, we created two large custom wall murals, the first is a timeline design with landmarks taken from the different cities Charter House is based, marked with the year the company opened its doors. The second graphic is detailed fingerprints with the lines of the print forming a word taken from their five values.
Each of these key features is the center of the storytelling and creates a strong identity for the workplace that connects the staff and visitors to the culture of the company.
